The hotel's location is nothing short of spectacular—situated along the P1301 road, it offers guests breathtaking views of Lake Ohrid and easy access to historical landmarks such as the Ancient Theatre of Ohrid and Samuel's Fortress. This proximity enriches the stay, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in both natural beauty and centuries-old heritage.
Guests consistently praise the warm and professional hospitality of the staff. Their approachable demeanor and eagerness to ensure comfort create an atmosphere of genuine welcome. One story stands out: when unexpected troubles with alternative accommodation arose, the hotel embraced guests arriving late at night, swiftly providing a lakeview room without additional charges. The culinary experience at Hotel Dva Bisera is another highlight. Renowned for traditional dishes such as the iconic Ohridsko Makalo with garlic and the celebrated fish soup, the on-site restaurant offers flavors that linger long after the meal. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh, though a minor note is that coffee comes at an extra charge. The dining area commands captivating views of the lake, enhancing every meal with a soothing ambiance.
While the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, parking, air conditioning, laundry services, and embraces a kid-friendly environment, it notably lacks a pool or fitness center. However, these absences are deftly balanced by the hotel's inviting atmosphere and the peaceful lakeside setting, ideal for relaxation and simple pleasures.
Some details, such as the unconventional placement of light switches in guest rooms, have been noted by discerning visitors, yet these do little to diminish the overall positive impression. The genuine charm of the establishment, the impeccable food, and the soulful setting create an experience that feels more like a homecoming than a typical hotel stay.
In essence, Hotel Dva Bisera is more than just a place to rest; it is a destination infused with warmth, tradition, and the tranquil beauty of Lake Ohrid. Perfect place for everything. Food(breakfast/lunch/coffee),atmosphere, service, view, all super
Excellent location, very polite and professional staff and the food was excellent! You got to fix your beach umbrellas, it took us hours to fix them and one of our kids almost got hurt.
Nice hotel and nicely designed room. For some reason, there was no logic at all for the location of the light switches (light switches on the sides of the bed turned on the lights on the wrong sides of the bed). Big nice breakfast. Coffee was not part of breakfast so an extra charge.
Perfect food! Great ambient. I loved chicken soup and salad.
We cone here for years, mostly eating fish soup with ‘ohridsko makalo’ with garlic and bagel. It is always good. The staff is always friendly and in a good mood. The view to the lake is breathtaking.
We visited the restaurant looking to try the famous fish soup there because we went last year and it was amazing. However, instead of trout - our soup had salmon and staff didn’t communicate that. Apart from that, the place is lovely and it has a nice view over the lake
I have posted the whole menu of the restaurant in pictures. I’ve never stayed at the hotel, but I’m gonna speak to the restaurant and this area. It’s really one of the best restaurants in the city, though now many people know it. They have quite a good capacity to serve probably about hundred people and you are able to call and make a reservation. However, don’t expect better service than anywhere else in the city. Though service is quite fast, they will not be as hospitable and pleasant as you might be used to. Unfortunately, that’s what it is in the whole city. The food is really great. I highly encourage you that you get the garlic aïoli and you basically eat it with bread or you eat it with fish or you put it in the fish stew which everybody really loves. Also, the bread that you see in the basket that’s round. It’s something you should try too. I’ve had many things on the menu here they do list the ingredients which is in common. And because of the large selection, I think a lot of people can find something on the menu even if they have dietary restrictions. The beach here is public. It’s right across the restaurant however there are no chairs or anything like that. The water is clear, but the beach is rocky.
When we had issues with our Airbnb, we arrived here in the middle of the night—and we’re so glad we did. The service was exceptional. They welcomed us warmly, and with their delicious food and friendly attitude, we truly felt at home. We’re especially grateful that they didn’t leave us out on the street and even moved us to a lake-view room the next day without charging anything extra. A big thank you to everyone here once again. If you ever visit, I highly recommend having your morning coffee at one of their lakeside tables.
